Jenny Hutton is a PhD student in Music Education at Temple University and Director of Choirs at Cheltenham High School, near Philadelphia. Jenny discovered Estill at a 2012 workshop with Kim Steinhauer, completed Level 1 and 2 trainings, earned the EFP certificate in 2019, and became an Estill Master Trainer in 2020. In her research, Jenny explores culturally responsive vocal pedagogy, connection in choral singing, and students’ experiences learning Estill Voice Training in choral settings. In addition to her work as an educator, Jenny has performed rock, musical theatre, and opera, and she serves as a staff singer at the Philadelphia Episcopal Cathedral. She holds degrees in Psychology, Women’s and Gender Studies, Music Education, and Choral Conducting.
