This Estill Master Trainer spotlight features, Sasha Divain, an Estill Master Trainer based in Kyiv, Ukraine. Sasha is a Vocal Coach & President of the International Association of Teachers of Singing. Sasha has also assisted Estill Voice International in translating materials into Russian.

Where did you grow up?:I grew up in the very south of Ukraine in Crimea, which many people call «Ukrainian California». It is washed by two seas and it’s situated in three climatic zones, from moderate to subtropical.
Why you do you love Estill Voice Training?: For me, one of the main advantages is versatility! I use Estill Voice to train teachers of singing, singers and patients at The Ear, Nose and Throat Institute.
Biggest professional challenge: I have education in several singing areas from classical to contemporary. Previously, it was extremely difficult for me to switch from one to another singing technique. Estill Voice is a terrific toolbox for my voice.

Person you would most like to have dinner with:I would like to have dinner with Kim Steinhauer, the President of Estill Voice International. At the moment I am the president of the International Association of Teachers of Singing. Estill Voice International serves as a good example for me. An amazing website, an incredible certification program, an automated system, and most importantly, the people who are in charge of it. Kim is a good example of a leader I want to become. I’m hoping to have dinner with her soon!
Favorite performer: I want to point out two singers – Lady Gaga with her incredible look and message and Christina Aguilera with her unique vocal technique and energy.
What has the COVID-19 pandemic been like for you?: Time for professional development, new perspectives and achievements. At this time I have been working as never before.
Hobby(ies): Medicine, make-up, learning foreign languages.

People would be surprised to know… I’m the first transgender woman – Estill Master Trainer! In my country we have a low level of tolerance to LGBTQ people and that’s why I need to be brave. I’m very grateful to Estill Voice International for their professional support, warm attitude, unique skills and knowledge! Thanks to them, I have recently been invited to teach at a leading music academy in our country! Estill Voice is the biggest gift in my life!
