For Italian see below (italiano a fondo pagina) Marcello Zempt is an Italian Estill Mentor and Course Instructor based in the Netherlands, but travels regularly to Italy for his courses, workshops and lessons. Born in Cagliari, Italy, Marcello Zempt started studying piano and singing early on. He headed up various bands, such as Fair Society and The Zempt Quartet, his first jazz group. In 1993, he moved to the Netherlands to study at the Conservatory of Amsterdam and obtained a B.A. from the Department of Improvised Music (Jazz). His studies have included classical singing techniques as well as the most recent developments in the field of voice training. Zempt attended his first EVT course with Helga Westmark and Dorte Hyldstrup in 2005. Several courses later, he obtained in 2007 the Estill Figure Proficiency Certificate. In 2008, he became an Estill Master Teacher, and in 2014 Estill Mentor and Course Instructor. In the Netherlands, he featured as a vocalist and performer in the dance theater piece "You‘ve got the watch, I‘ve got the time" by choreographer Feri de Geus. He joined close-harmony group Jazzed to the Max in 1998-1999. A teacher since 1995, he works as a voice coach for professional artists in various countries. From 1999 on Marcello has been conducting and arranging for several choirs and vocal ensembles. From 2004 to 2007, he taught jazz singing at the Conservatory ‘Pierluigi da Palestrina’ in Cagliari, Italy. From 2008 to 2010 he worked ‘behind the scenes’ of the tv talent show ‘Popstars’ as a preselection juror. In recent years, he’s lent his voice to several TV- and radio commercials in the Netherlands. Starting from 2013 he was arranger, composer and vocal coach in the acclaimed dance theater piece “OOOOOOOO” by Giulio D’Anna, which has toured throughout Europe for four years. Since 2018 he teaches Voice Technique at the Lucia Marthas Institute for Performing Arts in Amsterdam, one of the leading institutes for Musical Theater Performers in the Netherlands. He is also a certified life coach.  Zempt has training studios in Amsterdam, the Netherlands and Cagliari, ItalyMarcello Zempt è voice coach, direttore di coro, arrangiatore e compositore. Dopo anni di esperienza come interprete e performer in vari progetti e generi musicali, dal pop al jazz fino ad arrivare al teatro danza, si dedica dal 1995 all'insegnamento della tecnica vocale. Dopo aver conseguito il diploma in canto Jazz al Conservatorio di Amsterdam nel 1999, ha proseguito i suoi studi di ricerca sulla voce, passando dal Complete Vocal Technique, Speech Level Singing e Rabine method, fino ad approdare nel 2005 all'Estill Voice Training. Subito conquistato da questo modello di studio della voce, basato sulla ricerca scientifica e le osservazioni di Jo Estill prima, e di molti altri scienziati in tutto il mondo poi, ha intrapreso la strada della certificazione, arrivando in nove anni a quella di Estill Mentor and Course Instructor. Ha lavorato come vocal coach, compositore e arrangiatore in progetti teatrali, come "OOOOOOOO" del coreografo Giulio d'Anna, e nella giuria preliminare del programma televisivo olandese "Popstars". Ha insegnato canto jazz al Conservatorio di Cagliari dal 2004 al 2007 ed è attualmente docente di tecnica vocale al Lucia Marthas Institute for Performing Arts a Amsterdam.
