Leigh has worked as a professional voice teacher in Colchester, Essex for the past 12 years. She has 20+ years experience as a jobbing CCM lead vocalist in function bands, vintage trio, duo and as a solo and session singer. Establishing her private practice as LMT Singing School in 2012 in 2020 she established Colchester Voice Academy Online (in response to the pandemic) and created a network of singers and teachers through the Vocal Freedom Podcast.
Leigh provides professional training for a mix of professional singers, actors and amateur singers of all ages and levels, providing one to one lessons, group classes and workshops. Leigh wants to empower you and will help you understand how your voice works and how to achieve your personal vocal goals, whether you want to become a marketable recording artist, stage performer or front a band. She will help equip you with the tools to develop your singing skills in any and all styles. Whether you are working towards an audition/exam/tour or just want to sing for the love of singing, she welcomes an abundance of people from different walks of life. Leigh has intensely studied many elements of vocal science, vocal rehabilitation and speech and language therapy. From 2022 the introduction of the Vocal Freedom Coaching Cabin, Leigh continues to develop her practice with many productions and film projects in development.
Since 2023 Leigh also serves as the Chair of Colchester Film Makers Club and is working as an independent producer with a variety of private singers, actors and other creatives. Leigh is also in the original band Affirmation who are finishing their second studio album in 2024.
