Dorte Hyldstrup is a singer and voice teacher who graduated from The Royal Danish Music Conservatory, Cph, DK in 1987. She has done advanced studies in New York and North Carolina with Jo Estill in 1988; and has been a coordinator and intern on EVTS seminars in Denmark since 1991. Since 2000 she has done EVTS seminars in Denmark, Sweden, Norway. Finland, Netherland, Austria, Belgium, France, Balticum, Russia, Ukraine and Germany.
She has been teaching singers on many levels for the last 25 years on institutions like: Rhythmic Music Conservatory 1988 - 2009, Music Department of the University of Copenhagen 1997 - 2006, the Royal Danish Academy of Music 1994 - 1999.
Currently she is working as a freelance Voice Teacher in her private studio and as a Estill Voice Training Course Instructor.
In the 90´s she did a pilotstudie together with Jo Estill and Dr. Svend Prytz in Copenhagen. Using EMG and Endoscopy technic they investigated the effect of the Sternocleidomastoid m. (SCM) and the possible independant control of SCM and the false and the true vocalfolds.
Dorte also has 35 years of experience as a professional solo performer and backing Singer in studio and live and have done several Disney Studio Productions. in november 2003 she released her first CD as a soloist: Dorte Hyldstrup: You Take Me Home. DHCD1. On this CD she presents original songs in a mix of soul, blues and jazz. May 2015 a new CD with her latest project HYLD was released. www,hyldmusic.dk
Dorte is a Certified NLP Master and was a board member of the Estill International Certification Board 2009 – 2013 & Danish Voice Association 2010 – 2014
