This course is for anyone who has completed Level 1: Figures for Voice™ and would like to take their skills further. It is ideal for singers, actors, vocal coaches, drama instructors, speech-language pathologists, and other vocal health professionals. Level 2 builds on the knowledge and skills from Level 1 by asking students to combine different options learned through the Figures in "recipes" for six basic voice qualities. These qualities – Speech, Falsetto, Sob, Twang, Opera, and Belting – appear as specifically defined by the Estill Voice Model. Figure Combinations for Six Voice Qualities™ gives you a better understanding of the human voice’s limitless possibilities, along with how to keep it vibrant and healthy. Throughout the day, new voice skills are practiced in small group sessions. Participants will be given the chance to explore Figure applications for individual repertoire and case studies in open coaching sessions. There will also be ample time for questions and discussion.
Level 2 (6 Voice Qualities) in the Estill Model presented by Anne- Marie Speed, one of Estill Voice International’s most experienced and qualified Estill experts. This Level 2 course will cover the Figure Combinations for 6 Voice Qualities. The daily schedule will consist of lecture presentations, video research, audio & video examples, teaching and training tips as well as a session on vocal health on Sunday. Participants will divide into small practice groups throughout the day to receive coaching in the Figures. There will also be an Open Session in the evening which provides participants with an opportunity to sing a song or do a speech and receive expert coaching from Anne-Marie. Please note, there is not a requirement for everyone to get up during the Open Session nor will there will be enough space for everyone to sing or perform in the Open Session but it is added as an invaluable opportunity to see the work applied.
Suitable for: (*Must have completed Level 1 in order to attend). Those new to the Model, anyone who working with the voice; singing teachers, professional singers, students and amateurs; voice, speech & drama teachers; actors; speech & language therapists with a special interest in voice, EMT candidates. Suitable for all styles of voice, singing & speaking.
