Like a magical lift, if your larynx is free to move up and down, it will help you access your whole range - and also a thousand vocal colours from dark to bright.

Learning to control your larynx is key if you want to move effortlessly between genres in singing or if you are specialising in acting through voice.

This is a session of comedy voices with lots of giggles and discoveries! If you are a voiceover artist or planning to become one, the skills covered in this workshop are crucial. The course is also aimed at anyone who wants to learn more about how the voice works, including singers of all genres, voice teachers, choral directors, speech and language therapists and all speakers (e.g. actors, teachers, etc.).

The session includes in-depth information, practical group exercises, some individual coaching and advice on application in artistry and teaching.

By the end of the workshop, participants will have:

  • had an anatomical overview of head/neck and larynx
  • explored high, low and mid-larynx
  • gained awareness of vocal habits
  • discovered the acoustic effects of larynx height
  • sung and spoken with different larynx heights

Please note that this workshop will be delivered in English with optional Czech interpretation. If you are an English speaker, you will be guided on how to choose the English channel in Zoom. The workshop will also be recorded.
