Overview: This innovative, popular and challenging course has been offered for thirteen years now and is unique to The Voice Explained. It was designed specifically to address the practical demands of applying Estill Voice Training in performance situations across a range of genres. How do we address the challenges of using the Figures in real time and extending Voice Qualities outside of their natural range?
Over three days, we focus on the complex Figure & Voice Quality combinations that are integral to the professional performer’s artistic expression and which are found across genres; musical theatre, classical, rock and pop. Participants will therefore need a high level of independent control and understanding of both the Figures and Voice Qualities.
The course will address, among other subjects:
· Special course in Diction
· Extending Voice Qualities beyond their natural range
· Common quality combinations in different genres (including musical theatre and opera)
· The nature, role and place of vibrato in different styles
· Plus much more!
Suitable for: Only those who have completed two or more Levels 1&2; prerequisite for EMT candidates with Anne Marie Speed
