Have you ever experienced scratching or an urge to cough when you sing or speak?

Learning to control the false vocal folds (FVF) is a fantastic tool for reducing strain and promoting clear tone. It is a must for safe, easy voicing and will help you significantly on those operatic top notes or when belting that final note in a musical theatre number.

By the end of the workshop, participants will have:

  • practiced the Estill Figure for FVF
  • had an anatomical overview of the larynx
  • explored and begun training the FVF
  • felt how effortful voicing can cause scratching and understand what to do about it
  • applied FVF control in singing and speaking
