Contemporary Commercial Music (CCM) encompasses an extremely broad range of styles and sounds, from the ones you know (Pop, Rock, Folk) to the more eclectic and cutting edge. There is so much more to CCM than what is in the charts (although that is a good place to start!).

Singing well and expressively has always been a priority for commercial artists, although the way they sing and the genre they work in may be unfamiliar to you.

Being able to separate good vocal function from an aesthetic bias as to what constitutes ‘good’ singing is an essential skill for all singers and singing teachers. Estill Voice Training helps identify key skills that benefit all voices, without locking the singer into one style.

The day will include:

  • Brief overview of the Estill Model
  • Ear training – what to listen to now to bring yourself up to date
  • Distinguishing ‘edgey’ from dangerous
  • Top 5 Essential Voice Exercises
  • Short masterclass

Suitable for: People new to the model; those familiar with the Model, looking for clarification and consolidation; singers and teachers; students and professionals.
