Do you want to try singing opera?
Are you a classical singer who wants a fresh perspective?
Do you want to add a classical sound to your singer’s tool box?
This session is aimed at anyone who wants to learn more about classical singing and opera. We will use Estill Voice Training for a playful look at classical sounds in singing and how we can use them to tell an emotional story.
The workshop includes in-depth information and practical group exercises with some individual coaching. There is also an opportunity for a few participants to sing an operatic aria or a classical art song of their choice.
In advance of the workshop, you will need to email a PDF of your sheet music to Stefan and organise a backing track for your use during the session.
Once you have booked, Stefan will be in touch about all of the above.
By the end of the workshop, participants will have:
- had an anatomical overview of the larynx and the vocal tract
- reviewed thyroid cartilage control and false vocal fold control
- explored the chiaro/scuro balance of classical singing
- explored the Estill figure for Opera quality
- used Estill concepts for emotional story telling
£55 (Early Bird £45 if you book by 20 February 2021)
