Morgens und nachmittags unterrichte ich in deutscher Sprache anhand von EVT-‐Materialien und mit Hilfe von Demonstrationen, gemeinsamen Übungen, Beispielen und Videopräsentationen. Die Erklärung des Systems findet in Abschnitten statt und wechselt sich mehrmals täglich mit Praxis-‐Sitzungen in der Gruppe ab; darin werden alle Figuren und Fähigkeiten, wenn erforderlich, unter individueller Begleitung angelernt. Am Tagesende findet eine offene Sitzung statt (jeweils von 17.30-‐19.00 Uhr), hier werden die erlernten Fähigkeiten und Figuren in Musik und Sprache angewendet. Dabei können die Teilnehmer beobachten, wie die Übungen eingesetzt werden können, um vokale Probleme zu lösen. Wir beginnen jeden Morgen um 9.30 Uhr, der erste Morgen startet mit einer Einführung in die Anatomie/ Physiologie. Danach werden während dieser 3 Tage alle Bestandteile/ Figuren und ihre Variationen erklärt, demonstriert und geübt. Insgesamt werden 13 Figuren behandelt, u.a. Klangansatz, Zungenkontrolle, Gaumenkontrolle, Kehlkopfstände, Formanten. Diese 13 Figuren wiederum haben, jede für sich gesehen, mehrere Variationsmöglichkeiten, so dass 37 verschiedene Übungsmöglichkeiten des Stimmapparates behandelt werden. Einige hiervon sind den meisten Sängern vertraut, andere sind völlig unbekannt oder unter anderen Namen verbreitet und werden deshalb im Kursverlauf verdeutlicht. Alle Figuren werden trainiert, damit jeder für sich feststellt, wie gut er diese beherrscht und was verbessert werden kann. Der Workshop bietet so konkrete Werkzeuge an, mit denen jeder Workshop-‐Teilnehmer seine Stimme beeinflussen und verbessern kann.	Edit Delete

Mittels der von Jo Estrill entwickelten Methode lernen wir, Klänge zu hören, zu erkennen, zu fühlen und wiederzugeben. Die Teilnehmer lernen, aus welchen Figuren eine Opern-‐Stimmqualität zusammengestellt ist, sie zu beherrschen und zu produzieren, auch wenn Sie noch nie eine Oper gesungen haben. Dabei wundern sich die meisten, wie gut Ihr Stimmpotential ist, egal ob es um die Bereiche Oper, Belting oder andere geht. "Why am I an Estill Voice Training practitioner? Obviously, I respect the quality of Jo Estill's research. She has produced a systematic approach to voice training that I have used successfully for the past twenty-two years in my work with undergraduate singers. It is one thing for Jo Estill to have been named one of the most significant voice scientists in the world today. She joins the ranks of many such gifted scientists. However, it is quite another thing to have fine tuned her research in such a way as to offer singers a disciplined approach that meets the demands of the profession today; namely, the ability to sing a variety of voice qualities with confidence, endurance, and artistic sensitivity. My colleagues and I think so highly of Jo Estill's work that we have developed a four-year undergraduate voice curriculum using her published materials. There is no greater "testimony" as to the trust we have in this approach to the training of the singing voice than to offer it to the next generation as a foundation for their professional careers."
