Description:
This course is open to anyone with an interest in learning about the voice, e.g. singers, voiceteachers, actors, choirleaders, clinical voice professionals etc. The course begins with an introduction to the Estill Voice Model with Compulsory Figures for Voice, and an overview of this course. We will work us through all the basic Figures in Level One and end up with a short overview of the Six Voice Qualities of Level Two. We will practise together and individually in small groups, integrating new skills into singing and applying them to different genres of music. The days will alternate between classroom presentations, practice sessions in small groups and open sessions.

Description
This Advanced 1 course is mostly for people who have attended Level One & Two courses in Finland. The course will focus on repetition and more advanced exercises of Level One & Two and analysis of problems & solutions/Pedagogical issues. We will mostly work practically and integrate figures and qualities into music and also have time to focus on individual coaching/training. Artistry and diction will be a part of individual singing.

Figures for Voice Control* & Figure Combinations for Six Voice Qualities

This course is for anyone who would like to improve their singing or speaking voice — singers, actors, vocal coaches, drama instructors, Speech-Language Pathologists and other vocal health professionals. Level One course (starting on 23 January) teaches the tools to control vocal instrument. Students will learn EVT’s Figures to use better vocal structures are useful to sing every musical genre or to play every character. This Level Two course teaches how EVT’s Figures can be used to mix the "recipes" for 6 voice qualities: Speech, Falsetto, Sob, Twang, Opera, and Belting.

Please note:  One cannot enroll in a Level Two course unless one has already taken a Level One course.

Its relevant to all voiceusers, e.g. singers, voiceteachers, actors, choirleaders, clinical voice professionals etc. The course begins with a short repetition of Compulsory Figures for Voice, and an overview of this course. Then we will work on the 6 Voice Qualities in Level Two, (Speech, Falsetto, Sob, Twang, Opera and Belting). During these 2 days we will practice together and individually in small groups, integrating the qualities in singing and applying them to different genres of music. The days will alternate between classroom presentations, practice sessions in small groups and open sessions.

If you want to take both the Level One and Two Courses in Hamburg, May 2-6, you only pay 700 euro.

Level two course. For singers, actors, speech therapists, choir conductors, etc.. Course will be in Dutch language, the course material in English.

Booking the Level One and Two in Groningen together, you will pay 675 euro.
 

The Complete Estill Course
This complete course in Estill Voice Training is open to voice teachers, singers and speakers as well as singer/songwriters, music producers, dancers and all other voice users. Estill is craft for singers, like fingering for the pianist, the gym for athletes, ballet for dancers or grammar for language.
Learn basic anatomy, how the voice physically functions and how to control the components that change voice quality through kinesthetic perception and muscle training. Emphasis on aesthetic freedom and vocal safety across all styles and genres – from rock to opera, jazz to belting!

Level 1
In Level One, participants will accomplish a basic understanding of vocal anatomy and the physiology of the larynx. The students will be able to increase their kinesthetic perception and maximize their control over their “reed”-instrument. The scientifically researched figures or muscle training exercises allow the voice user to individually monitor, control and adjust all researched muscular structures involved in sound production and therefore safely produce any style or genre specific voice quality.
Each participant will receive individual feedback and monitoring to ensure that all concepts are understood and applied correctly. From the start, the emphasis will be on singing and speaking, both individually and as a group to reinforce technical ideas and ensure correct training of muscle memory.

Level 2
During Level Two, participants will develop mastery of 6 archetype vocal qualities including Speech, Falsetto, Twang (nasal and oral), Sob, Opera and Belting. Additionally, contemporary, classical, and music theatre voice qualities will be studied in order to create a better understanding of how the work can be applied on stage, in the studio and in rehearsals. The client will be supplied with a toolbox of muscular skills, anatomically correct vocabulary and the confidence that anyone can train the muscles of their voice in order to achieve any aesthetic goal.
Finally, students will be able to participate in a master class in order to apply the tools learnt in a group/performance environment. Singers may present pieces of their own choosing, ideally with problems to be solved. There is no pre-requisite nor audition for this course.

He is still researching in the spirit of Jo, especially on how rock effects are made and on the risks involved using rock effects. He works as a soloist, as a professional choir singer (NKK) and as a artistic director/singing teacher at Codarts, Rotterdam, University for the Arts. This course is for Singers/ Speech therapists /Singing Teachers / Choir Conductors / Actors / Musical Darsteller and will be in the German / Deutsche language, the course material is in English.
