This Advanced 1 course is mostly for people who have attended Level One & Two courses in Helsinki. The course will focus on repetition and more advanced exercises of Level One & Two and analysis of problems & solutions/Pedagogical issues. We will mostly work practically and integrate figures and qualities into music and also have time to focus on individual coaching/training.

Then we will work on the 6 Voice Qualities in Level Two, (Speech, Falsetto, Sob, Twang, Opera and Belting). During these 2 days we will practice together and individually in small groups, integrating the qualities in singing and applying them to different genres of music. The days will alternate between classroom presentations, practice sessions in small groups and open sessions.

We will work us through all the basic Figures in Level One and end up with a short overview of the Six Voice Qualities of Level Two. We will practise together and individually in small groups, integrating new skills into singing and applying them to different genres of music. The days will alternate between classroom presentations, practice sessions in small groups and open sessions.

This course is presented by Dorte Hyldstrup - one of Europe´s most experienced Estill Voice Training Course Instructors. 

Its open to anyone with an interest in learning about the voice, f.ex. singers, voiceteachers, actors, clinical voice professionals etc.

The course begins with an introduction to the Voice Qualities and an overview of the evolution of the Estill Voice Model. After a short review of the figures in Lev One we will work us through all the voice qualities, speech, falsetto, sob, twang, belting and opera - by practising individually in small groups and integrating them into singing in different genres of music.

The days will alternate between classroom presentations, practice sessions in small groups and open session (working individually with your own repertoire)

In this course you will learn to differentiate and control the various vocal structures, or Figures, associated with pitch, range, color, intensity and, most importantly, sustained vocal health. The 6 Estill Voice Qualities -- Speech, Falsetto, Twang, Sob, Opera and Belt -- will also be utilized throughout the weekend so that each new Figure will not only be explored individually, but in the expanded context of each Quality. The result: a blend of part and whole, Figure and Quality, that will send you on your way to vocal mastery!

EVT is applicable to ALL styles of speaking and singing and this course is open to anyone interested in the wonders of the human voice including singers, actors, speech language pathologists and voice teachers. The Complete 5 Day Course in the Estill Model presented by one of the UK’s most experienced and qualified Estill experts. This five day course will comprise Level 1 (12 Compulsory Figures) and Level 2 (6 Voice Qualities) and will also include a short introduction to anatomy & physiology and a vocal health session. The daily schedule will consist of lecture presentations, video research, audio & video examples, as well as teaching and training tips. Participants will divide into small practice groups throughout the day to receive coaching in the Compulsory Figures & Voice Qualities.
