The Level One course teaches the tools to control vocal instrument. Students will learn EVT’s Figures to use better vocal structures are useful to sing every musical genre or to play every character. 

El proposito del curso es aprender combinaciónes de las Figuras Obligatorias aprendidos en el curso de Estill Nivel 1 para realizar las 6 Calidades Vocales: Speech,Falsetto, Cry/Sob, Twang, Opera y Belt.

.•Dirigido a: cantantes, actores, periodistas, foniatras, logopedas y, en general, profesionales de la voz.

•Metodología: Práctica y participativa. El curso se desarrollará con sesiones en gran grupo y en pequeños grupos de 6/8 personas.El trabajo alterna sesiones de teoría con la practica de Calidades y hay la oportunidad de aplicar el trabajo a canciones y textos en una sesión de Master Class con pianista para los cantantes.

•Se aconseja a los participantes del curso traer un texto o canción para utilizar en estas sesiones

In this introductory workshop, CCI Robert Sussuma will lay the groundwork for unique approaches to Estill Voice Training as he prepares you for the upcoming June and July Courses in NYC. Be prepared for some zany fun as you ease you way into the brilliance of Estill. There will be discussions, presentations, open coaching and more. This workshop is appropriate for beginners and experienced Estillians alike. All are welcome! 

Overview: This highly interactive day is offered in response to the many questions from teachers especially, arising from previous workshops. We will address common problems encountered by teachers, students and performers and offer solutions based in the Estill Model and other physiological based regimens. This day will be interactive with the afternoon given over to a masterclass. Questions may be submitted prior to the course. Participants may also nominate students for the open session. Some of the areas covered will include: problems with range, taking specific voice qualities higher, breathing, loss of support, singing louder without strain and other questions submitted by participants.

This day will address problems in both speaking and singing, both teaching and performance and will include:

•   Brief overview of the Estill Model

•   Physiological causes of problems

•   Visual and aural clues and how to interpret them

•   Estill Solutions and their application

•   Q&As

Alberto ter Doest geeft op u op zeer enthousiaste en toegankelijke wijze inzicht in de technieken van Estill Voice Training. Tijdens de level 1 cursus legt hij een stevige basis zodat u zelf heel gemakkelijk verder kunt werken met deze succesvolle techniek. De cursus is heel praktisch vormgegeven, want u alleen kunt voelen hoe uw stem klinkt als u gebruik maakt van EVT. This advanced course is presented by Dorte Hyldstrup - one of Europe´s most experienced Estill Voice Training Course Instructors. 

Open for people who have attended at least one Lev One & Two Course. Focus will be on repetition and more advanced exercises of Lev One & Two as well as analysis of problems & solutions/pedagogical issues. 

We will mostly work practically and integrate figures and qualities into music and there will be time to focus on individual training.

Its open to anyone with an interest in learning about the voice, f.ex. singers, voiceteachers, actors, clinical voice professionals etc.
 
The course begins with an introduction to the Voice Qualities and an overview of the evolution of the Estill Voice Model. After a short review of the figures in Lev One we will work us through all the voice qualities, speech, falsetto, sob, twang, belting and opera - by practising individually in small groups and integrating them into singing in different genres of music.
 
The days will alternate between classroom presentations, practice sessions in small groups and open sessions.

Day 1-3            Level I –  Compulsory Figures for Voice (including an overview of vocal anatomy & physiology)
Day 4-5           Level II – Figure Combinations for Six Voice Qualities
 
You will be introduced to each new concept lecture-style with audio and visual illustrations then move into small groups to explore the Figures (vocal exercises) & Voice Qualities in more detail. During practice groups you work on your own voice and observe changes in others under the guidance of a Certified Master Teacher. You can opt to take part in an open session at the end of each day and receive model-specific individual coaching on a song or spoken piece of your choice.

Ann Sparks has been teaching the incomparable Estill Techniques for many years, and became a Certified Course Instructor in 2010, having been trained by Helen Tiller and Jo Estill.

Course Components:
Level 1, usually taking up the first two days, involves learning all the “Compulsory Figures for the Voice,” which, once mastered, gives one the ability to have independent and safe control over the individual parts of the vocal mechanism.
Level 2 comprises of putting all these manoeuvres into seven “Voice Qualities,” consisting of Speech, Falsetto, Sob, Nasalised Twang, Oral Twang, Opera and Belting. This exciting week culminates in a vocal masterclass for any participant who wishes to sing and demonstrate their new skills.

 Este curso de cinco días empieza con una introducción al modelo de la voz de Jo Estill y a su historia y con un taller de anatomía y fisiología. Durante los próximos tres días, se presentarán las figuras obligatorias que componen el sistema. A continuación, sobre los proximos dos dias, se presentarán las 6 calidades vocales del Nivel 2 (Voz Hablada, Falsete, Llorar/Llanto, ‘Twang’, Belt y Opera.)

 Habrá algún énfasis en el uso de las figuras y calidades en logopedia, aprovechando la experiencia del profesorado en patologías vocales. También se aprovecha para practicar las figuras del modelo en canto armónico.

 Los asistentes tendrán la posibilidad de practicar en grupos pequeños con ayudantes titulados. Cada día habrá una sesión abierta donde los participantes podrán aplicar el sistema (trabajo) a su propia “performance” sea Po, Jazz, Teatro Musical, Ópera o la voz hablada.
