This first-ever North American CMT-CCI Summit will be held over the 2 days leading into the National Association of Teachers of Singing Convention (June 29 to July 3) at the Renaissance Orlando at Seaworld resort.

CCIs will meet in a private session from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday.  CMTs & CCIs will gather for a lively exchange of Estill Voice Training pedagogy and practice on Thursday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. 

We hope that many Estill attendees will remain to participate in the NATS Convention.

This challenging two-day workshop explores integrating the Estill Voice Training into your own teaching practice and applying the work in different genres. This Workshop will help you prepare for successfully completing Phase Two of the Certified Master Teacher examination.

 This one-day Estill Certification workshop will serve as the jumping off point for students interested in persuing the Estill CMT (Certified Master Teacher). The goal of the workshop is to help potential candidates who have taken the ESTILL NYC Courses in May, June and July (or any other official Estill Level I and II Courses in the U.S. or abroad--course certificates will be required as proof of attendance) and feel ready to take the next steps toward certification come to clarity regarding the process ahead. The instructors will explain the expectations and requirements for CMT Certification, as well as provide individual coaching time during which each viable candidate will meet with the instructors to devise a personalized 9 month course of study that will (if all requirements are met) culminate in the passing of the CMT written and VoicePrint exams. The hope is that if and when both of these exams have been passed, the candidate will then assist and be observed teaching during the next ESTILL NYC Courses in Spring/Summer 2013. This course is open to anyone interested in learning more about the voice - singers, speakers, teachers, therapists, choral conductors.  Participants will be introduced to the concepts and exercises of Estill Voice Training (also known as Estill Voicecraft), an innovative, informative and empowering approach that creates a pathway to exciting vocal discoveries. Free from aesthetic bias, the Figures (exercises) of Level One reveal the basic mechanics of how the voice works. Each Figure creates a specific vocal sound effect, adds a particular "ingredient" to our vocal "recipe".

In this introductory workshop, we explore the range of effects available and acquire valuable insights regarding vocal health, stamina and power. Each day will include interactive lectures as well as opportunities for group and individual practice. Open Coaching sessions offer the chance to see how Figures can be used to break down the barriers standing between you and your vocal goals.

This day will identify the key physiological requirements for successful, healthy and sustainable Belting as uniquely identified by the Estill Model. It is specifically designed for those who are new to Belting and who are looking for explanations about Belting technique. It will also address the myths concerning the supposed dangers of Belting and where to best use this exciting voice quality.

While application of the Estill Voice Model to singing and singing teaching is well established, there is still confusion among many voice teachers as to how the Model is relevant to the teaching and training of actors.
