Level One – Figures for Voice Control
In Level One, participants will accomplish an advanced understanding of vocal anatomy and the physiology of the larynx. The students will be able to increase their kinesthetic perception and maximize their control over their “reed”-instrument. The scientifically researched figures or muscle training exercises allow the voice user to individually monitor, control and adjust all researched muscular structures involved in sound production and therefore safely produce any style or genre specific voice quality.
Each participant will receive individual feedback and monitoring to ensure that all concepts are understood and applied correctly. From the start, the emphasis will be on singing and speaking, both individually and as a group to reinforce technical ideas and ensure correct training of muscle memory.

Level Two – Figure Combinations for Six Voice Qualities
During Level Two, participants will analyze and develop mastery of 6 archetype vocal qualities including Speech, Falsetto, Twang (nasal and oral), Sob, Opera and Belting. Additionally, contemporary, classical, and music theatre voice qualities will be studied in order to create a better understanding of how the work can be applied on stage, in the studio and in rehearsals. The client will be supplied with a toolbox of muscular skills, anatomically correct vocabulary and the confidence that anyone can train the muscles of their voice in order to achieve any aesthetic goal.
Finally, students will be able to participate in a master class in order to apply the tools learnt in a group/performance environment. Singers may present pieces of their own choosing, ideally with problems to be solved. There is no pre-requisite nor audition for this course.

Level One is for anyone interested in learning about the voice. This intense course begins with an overview, where we introduce the philosophy and science behind Estill Voice Training and Figures for Voice™ exercises. Presentations are combined with frequent small group practice sessions, supervised by fully-trained interns, where all participants experience creating and applying Figures for Voice™. In addition we run master class sessions where you can apply the exercises to your own performance. We cover how the system relates to different voice fields, from opera to musical theatre, from theatre voice to public speaking, and enable truly versatile vocal performers. As well as teachers and students of performance, this course will be of interest to speech and language therapists with voice clients.

This workshop provides an introduction to the Estill Model and will cover: 

Basic laryngeal and vocal tract anatomy

Introduction to Estill Voice Qualities and how they are produced

Lunch is included

This workshop is suitable for anyone who is interested in learning more about how the voice works and gives an overview of the vocal tract set-up for different voice qualities as defined by Estill.

Advanced 1 - Repetition of Figures & Qualities and their variations/ pedagogical issues

This Advanced One Workshop is open for people who attended at least one Lev One & Two Course.

The focus will be on repetition of Lev One and Two, more advanced exercises, variations of the Voice Qualities and analysis of problems & solutions / pedagogical issues.

We will work practically and integrate figures and qualities into music and also have time to focus on individual coaching/training.

Her system, Estill Voice Training™ (EVT), simplifies the learning process by breaking the voice down into its working parts – the actual structures that make the voice work. Using Estill’s Figures for Voice™, students learn to control each structure independently and then combine the structures to create different voice qualities. This course is available for anyone who would like to improve their singing or speaking voice – vocal instructors, drama instructors, Speech-Language Pathologists and other vocal health professionals. The skills developed in Level One will add strength, clarity and stamina to your voice! Throughout the course, participants will apply their new skills to all styles of speaking and singing in small group practice sessions. Participants will learn the same Estill Voice Training tools that are used daily on stages from the Met to Broadway to Nashville to Madison Square Garden!

Este curso intensivo de Nivel 2 del modelo Estill se dirige especialmente a logopedas y otros profesionales de terapias de la voz. Se repasará las Figuras Obligatorias aprendidas en Nivel 1 y a continuación se presentarán las 6 calidades del Nivel 2.

Está especialmente adaptado para estos terapeutas que trabajan o esperan trabajar con la voz profesional tanto de artista  (cantantes, actores ,,,) como de profesor, abogado, telefonista, cura ……

Incluye sesiones en anatomía, fisiología y acústica y la presentación de las Figuras Obligatorias de Control de la Voz descritas por Jo Estill. Los asistentes tendrán la oportunidad de practicar las figuras y hablar de su aplicación clinica tanto en general como en casos particulares.

This intensive course in the Estill Voice Model is aimed particularly at Speech therapists and other professionals connected with voice therapy. It includes sessions in anatomy, physiology and acoustics in addition to presenting Jo Estill’s Compulsory figures for Vocal Control. Students will put each of the figures into practice and discuss their clinical application. There will also be the opportunity to discuss individual case hstories.
