Description:
This course is open to anyone, who took the EVT Level One Course. Its relevant to all voice users, e.g. singers, voiceteachers, actors, choirleaders, clinical voice professionals etc. The course begins with a short repetition of Compulsory Figures for Voice, and an overview of this course. Then we will work on the 6 Voice Qualities in Level Two, (Speech, Falsetto, Sob, Twang, Opera and Belting). During these 2 days we will practice together and individually in small groups, integrating the qualities in singing and applying them to different genres of music. The days will alternate between classroom presentations, practice sessions in small groups and open sessions.

Alberto ter Doest is presenting this course in the german language. He is working with EVT since he met Jo Estill in 1994. He is still researching in the spirit of Jo, especially on how rock effects are made and on the risks involved using rock effects. He works as a soloist, as a professional choir singer (NKK) and as a artistic director/singing teacher at Codarts, Rotterdam, University for the Arts. This course is for Singers/ Speech therapists /Singing Teachers / Choir Conductors / Actors / Musical Darsteller and will be in the German / Deutsche language, the course material is in English.

Description
This course is open to anyone who wants to know more about voice – singing. The course begins with an introduction to the Estill Voice Model with Compulsory Figures for Voice, and an overview of this course. After three days of Level One, we will introduce and work on the 6 Voice Qualities in Level Two, (Speech, Falsetto, Sob, Twang, Opera and Belting). During each of these 5 days we will practice the Figures of Level One and the Six Voice Qualities of Level Two together and individually in small groups, integrating new skills into singing and applying them to different genres of music. The days will alternate between classroom presentations, practice sessions in small groups and open sessions.

The Complete Estill Course
Estill Training is craft for singers, like fingering for the pianist.

Practice independent voice motor control. Understand advanced anatomy and how the voice physically and acoustically functions. Control the components that change voice quality through kinesthetic perception and muscle training.

Emphasis on aesthetic freedom and vocal safety across all styles and genres – from rock to opera, jazz to belting!

Level 1 – Compulsory Figures
In Level One, participants will accomplish an advanced understanding of vocal anatomy and the physiology of the larynx. The students will be able to increase their kinesthetic perception and maximize their control over their “reed”-instrument. The scientifically researched figures or muscle training exercises allow the voice user to individually monitor, control and adjust all researched muscular structures involved in sound production and therefore safely produce any style or genre specific voice quality.
Each participant will receive individual feedback and monitoring to ensure that all concepts are understood and applied correctly. From the start, the emphasis will be on singing and speaking, both individually and as a group to reinforce technical ideas and ensure correct training of muscle memory.

Level 2 – Figure Combinations
During Level Two, participants will analyze and develop mastery of 6 archetype vocal qualities including Speech, Falsetto, Twang (nasal and oral), Sob, Opera and Belting. Additionally, contemporary, classical, and music theatre voice qualities will be studied in order to create a better understanding of how the work can be applied on stage, in the studio and in rehearsals. The client will be supplied with a toolbox of muscular skills, anatomically correct vocabulary and the confidence that anyone can train the muscles of their voice in order to achieve any aesthetic goal. 
Finally, students will be able to participate in a master class in order to apply the tools learnt in a group/performance environment. Singers may present pieces of their own choosing, ideally with problems to be solved. There is no pre-requisite nor audition for this course.

Estill Nivel 1, Las Figuras Obligatorias para el Control de la Voz, consiste en entender, aislar y dominar la fisiología las estructuras anatómicas que contribuyen a la producción vocal.

This workshop will look at developing technique for beginners, using Estill concepts to facilitate healthy efficient vocal production.

It is open to all singing teachers but is equally appropriate for singers and therapists.

Description
The emphasis from the start will be on singing and speaking individually and as a group to reinforce technical ideas. Classical, Contemporary and Music Theatre singing styles will be studied. Tuition will be via masterclasses, small group lessons and ensemble.

Each participant will receive individual feedback and monitoring to ensure that all concepts are understood and applied correctly. Participants will learn techniques that will set them up for a career of safe voice work.

LEVEL ONE
Figures for Voice™

Participants will be given a practical grounding in vocal technique and vocal anatomy & physiology that will allow them to approach any vocal endeavour with confidence and skill. The Estill Voice Model teaches voluntary differentiated control of specific parts of the vocal mechanism and an understanding of vocal function. (Comprehensive training manual included).

LEVEL TWO
Figure Combinations for Six Voice Qualities™

Participants will develop mastery of vocal qualities including Speech, Twang (nasal and clear), Falsetto, Opera and Belting. Applications to the singing and speaking voice will be practised. Hone your troubleshooting skills.

ENGLISH:
A unique opportunity to work with one of the world greatest experts in theatre and musical theatre voice. This course proposes a
practical investigation of difficulties in vocal interpretation in the theatre and in musical theatre repertoire. The work is practical and includes exercises for the spoken voice and the sung repertoire. Students are invited to participate in the master classes in order to work on personal repertoire and individual problems.
