This course is intended for teachers and students of singing and actors. The Level One course teaches the tools to control vocal instrument. Students will learn EVT’s Figures to use better vocal structures are useful to sing every musical genre or to play every character.

The Complete 5 Day Course in the Estill Model presented by the UK’s most experienced and qualified team of Estill experts. This five day course will comprise Level 1 (12 Compulsory Figures) and Level 2 (6 Voice Qualities) and will also include a short introduction to anatomy & physiology and a vocal health session. The daily schedule will consist of lecture presentations, video research, audio & video examples, as well as teaching and training tips. Participants will divide into small practice groups throughout the day to receive coaching in the Compulsory Figures & Voice Qualities. There will also be an Open Session in the evening which provides participants with an opportunity to sing a song or do a speech and receive expert coaching from one of the Vanguard CCIs.

Description
The emphasis from the start will be on singing and speaking individually and as a group to reinforce technical ideas. Classical, Contemporary and Music Theatre singing styles will be studied. Tuition will be via masterclasses, small group lessons and ensemble.

Each participant will receive individual feedback and monitoring to ensure that all concepts are understood and applied correctly. Participants will learn techniques that will set them up for a career of safe voice work.

LEVEL ONE
Figures for Voice™

Participants will be given a practical grounding in vocal technique and vocal anatomy & physiology that will allow them to approach any vocal endeavour with confidence and skill. The Estill Voice Model teaches voluntary differentiated control of specific parts of the vocal mechanism and an understanding of vocal function. (Comprehensive training manual included).

LEVEL TWO
Figure Combinations for Six Voice Qualities™

Participants will develop mastery of vocal qualities including Speech, Twang (nasal and clear), Falsetto, Opera and Belting. Applications to the singing and speaking voice will be practised. Hone your troubleshooting skills.

INTENSIVE LEVEL 2 FOR SPEECH THERAPISTS

 This 2 day Level 2 course will revise the Obligatory Figures presented in Level 1 and introduce and practise the six voice qualities which comprise Level 2 (Speech, Falsetto, Cry/Sob, Twang, Belt and Opera. The course will be spefically aimed at Speech Therapists and Pathologists and other professionals connected with the care of the professional voice. Participants will put each of the qualities into practice and discuss their clinical application. There will also be the opportunity to discuss individual case hstories

Esta enfocado hacia  los que no han hecho nunca un curso de Voice Craft pero tambien abierto a los que quieren repetir y  profundizar sus conocimientos del modelo. Está especialmente adaptado para estos terapeutas que trabajan o esperan trabajar con la voz profesional tanto de artista  (cantantes, actores ,,,) como de profesor, abogado, telefonista, cura ……

Incluye sesiones en anatomía, fisiología y acústica y la presentación de las Figuras Obligatorias de Control de la Voz descritas por Jo Estill. Los asistentes tendrán la oportunidad de practicar las figuras y hablar de su aplicación clinica tanto en general como en casos particulares.

Los asistentes tendrán la posibilidad de practicar en grupos pequeños con ayudantes titulados. Cada día habrá una sesión abierta donde los participantes podrán aplicar el sistema (trabajo) a su propia “performance” sea Pop, Jazz, Teatro Musical, Ópera o la voz hablada.

This course is open to all performers and professional voice users, doctors and speech therapists and anyone who wishes to learn more about and have fun with their voice.  Participants will have the opportunity to practise in small groups with licenced practicioners and each day there will be an ‘open session’ where they can apply the model to their own preformance in song or speech.
