You will learn three of the Estill Voice Figures, or exercises, that will help you to sing  more powerfully without strain to the vocal folds.

The workshop involves Powerpoint presentations, endoscopic videos, anatomical models and slides. There are application activities and small group practices. There is a chance for individual attention in a master class format at the end of the session.

This course is open to anyone interested in learning more about the voice - singers, speakers, teachers, therapists, choral conductors.  Participants will be introduced to the concepts and exercises of Estill Voice Training (also known as Estill Voicecraft), an innovative, informative and empowering approach that creates a pathway to exciting vocal discoveries. Free from aesthetic bias, the Figures (exercises) of Level One reveal the basic mechanics of how the voice works. Each Figure creates a specific vocal sound effect, adds a particular "ingredient" to our vocal "recipe".

In this introductory workshop, we explore the range of effects available and acquire valuable insights regarding vocal health, stamina and power. Each day will include interactive lectures as well as opportunities for group and individual practice. Open Coaching sessions offer the chance to see how Figures can be used to break down the barriers standing between you and your vocal goals.

A new course introduced for the first time last year which proved very popular and offered as a result of many enquiries to those who are looking at ways to integrate singing and acting. The actor/singer of any genre is required not only to have a developed singing voice but must also be able to characterise and act through singing. Key to this ability is an understanding of the different voice qualities and what contributes to the overall performance. By identifying the major emotional shifts in the music and lyric, we will look at which Voice Qualities best serve the song and the character.

Advanced One Workshop

This Advanced One Workshop is open for people who attended at least one Lev One & Two Course.

The focus will be on repetition of Lev One and Two, more advanced exercises, variations of the Voice Qualities and analysis of problems & solutions / pedagogical issues.

We will work practically and integrate figures and qualities into music and also have time to focus on individual coaching/training.
